2.       Write down the y-coordinate of each: A(6,0), B(0,8),C(5,2)
3.       Write the coordinates of origin.
4.       Write the abscissa of (x,y).
5.       Write the coordinates of a point with abscissa 4 and ordinate 2.
6.       If the ordinate of a point is zero, where will the point lie in the Cartesian plane?
7.       If the abscissa of a point is zero, where will the point lie in the Cartesian plane?
8.       Write the distance of (3,5) from the x-axis.
9.       Write the distance of the point (2,6) from the y-axis.
10.   What are the names of the horizontal and vertical lines drawn to determine the position of a point in the Cartesian plane?
: B
1.       Plot the points: (5,0), (0,5) , (6,1) in the Cartesian plane.
2.       Plot the following points in a graph paper: (1,1), (2,2), (4,4),(5,5), (9,9). Do all the point lie on a straight line?
3.       Draw the graph of y = 2x – 1.
4.       Plot the points (0,0), (4,0), (4,3) and (0,3) and show that they form a rectangle.
5.       Locate the points P (3,4),Q(1,0),R(0,4),S(4,1) on a graph sheet and write the coordinates of the point of intersection of line segments PQ and RS.
